The 2026 1/10 oz Platinum Britannia brings The Royal Mint’s flagship bullion design down to an entry-level size. Each coin holds a tenth of a troy ounce of 999.5 fine platinum and carries a £10 face value, making it a practical starting point for investors adding platinum in smaller increments and a compact pickup for collectors who follow the series annually.

Key Features:

  • 1/10 oz of 999.5 fine platinum
  • Fractional platinum bullion coin with a £10 face value
  • Obverse: King Charles III portrait by Martin Jennings
  • Reverse: Philip Nathan’s Britannia with trident, Union flag shield, and olive branch

The obverse presents the uncrowned left-facing portrait of King Charles III over a field of finely raised dots that radiates outward to the rim. The surrounding inscription reads CHARLES III D G REX F D 10 POUNDS. On the reverse, Britannia strides across rocky ground at the water’s edge, robes and hair streaming behind her in the wind. She holds a trident upright in one hand while the other steadies a shield bearing the Union flag, an olive branch tucked beside it. A small latticed globe appears low in the design, and NATHAN, the sculptor’s signature, sits beneath the ground line. The legend BRITANNIA 2026 1/10 OZ 999.5 PLATINUM frames the scene, and the motto DECUS ET TUTAMEN runs repeatedly through the background in fine micro-lettering that doubles as an anti-counterfeiting feature. Philip Nathan first created this Britannia in 1987, and it remains one of the longest-running portraits in world bullion.

The coin shares the security features found across The Royal Mint’s current Britannia lineup, including the textured dot background and the micro-engraved motto. A bright bullion finish and milled edge round out a small coin that verifies easily and stores efficiently.

Fractional platinum keeps the entry price low without giving up sovereign backing or liquidity, and tenth-ounce Britannias move quickly in the resale market for exactly that reason. Order the 2026 1/10 oz Platinum Britannia today and add this year’s date to your stack at an accessible price point.
